So I know I said I'd continue the house tour this week but life took me in a different direction (and I couldn't be more grateful) because my cousin Sydnee has been in town visiting.
You see, a couple years ago my dear sweet Syd joined the navy and now lives in Virginia. I only get to see her once a year (which breaks my heart) so I've been absorbing all the time I can with her while she's here.
I grew up an only child but my extended family was super close and my cousins have always felt more like siblings to me.
With Syd in town, the cousins have all been getting together as often as we can. We all went to dinner together to Texas Roadhouse, there's been lots of shooting the breeze, some of us have had a few Play Station parties and I even got to watch Disney's Frozen for the first time (already obsessed).
Definitely the highlight of the week though was our trip to Bryce Canyon yesterday.
Now I'm slightly ashamed to admit that even though I live insanely close to several national parks (that people from all over the world travel to see), I haven't really been to any of them.
So when Sydnee said she wanted to go to Bryce Canyon National Park while she was here, I was absolutely thrilled and jumped on board.
Everything looked so beautiful, almost like a painting.
These pictures don't do it justice.
Probably because they were taken with my iPhone
...don't judge me.
I was in heaven.
Seriously, how stunning are these views?
Add Bryce Canyon National Park to your bucket list guys. You won't be disappointed.
The diverse beauty of my home state never ceases to amaze me.
I already can't wait to go back with my hubby.
There's apparently a rock formation there called Thor's Hammer (so you know it's gotta be good) and I'm dying to see it.
Bryce Canyon, you have stolen my heart.
The day was filled with lots of laughter and insanely spectacular views.
My kind of day.
And before we left, we of course had to try out Syd's new selfie stick.

I'm going to miss Sydnee like crazy.
And I already can't wait for her to come back home again.
(Love you always Syd!!)
