You guys, how darling is Madison's highchair now? Last December, I was in need of a highchair and found one from IKEA that was only $20 and gosh you can't beat a $20 highchair. The IKEA Antilop was simple and plain, but I knew it would do the job and look fine in my house. Then sometime after I got my highchair, I stumbled across Yeah Baby Goods on instagram and instantly fell in love with their style so when sweet Katie reached out to me, hoping to collaborate, I was like, "Oh yes please!"
Her shop is genius, taking IKEA's basic design but giving you an option to not only make things a little more comfortable for your little one but letting you customize it as well. Her shop sells these adorable highchair accessories, cushion covers for the IKEA Pyttig support pillow and lovely, easy to clean placemats.
I chose the Sprigs and Blooms cushion cover and the Pebble Beige placemat and I am absolutely obsessed. I love the style of these flowers and think it all fits in so well with my house. (Plus I've got a bit of a floral obsession currently going on ha ha check out my recipe tin box in the background.) Before I kind of felt like my highchair was a little bit of an eyesore and didn't totally fit in my space, but now I'm like, "Everybody look at my highchair! It's so freaking cute!"
I think it's awesome (and kind of incredible) how two simple accessories completely transformed this basic highchair.
And if you're worried about your little one getting the cushion dirty, Madison is a super messy eater. She loves to get a mouthful of food and then stick her hand in her mouth and smear the food everywhere. So far, after each meal, just using a really wet rag to spot clean has done the job, and I'm happy to announce no stains! Probably the trick is to spot clean right away. Plus the cover is easy to zip off and is machine washable! So nice.
And even if you don't have this exact high chair, or if you want an extra reason to buy this cushion cover, they can be used in restaurant highchairs as well! Keep your baby comfy with a nice back rest while you go out to eat.
And the placemat lifts right up and can be rinsed and cleaned in the sink. And oh my gosh I just checked out their website and saw that their placemats are top rack dishwasher safe!! How awesome is that? Totally got to try that sometime. And if you're worried about the placemat not staying in place, I also just read that if you set it down on the highchair while it's still a little wet and let it dry there, it gives it a better stick! I haven't had any problems so far with the mat sliding around while Madison is eating, but that's definitely good to know.
Yeah Baby Goods was sweet enough to offer my followers 15% off your purchase using the code DARLINGBEBRAVE15 so be sure to go show their shop some love and use that code for a sweet deal! They make more than high chair accessories too. They also sell decorative pillows, storage bin covers, and canvas art.
Just because I can't help myself, here are some links to my favorite highchair cushion covers they sell:
It was seriously so hard for me to decide on one because I liked them all so much! I probably drove my husband nuts because I kept asking him, "What about this one?...Or this one?....Ooo or this one is pretty too?!" ha ha good thing he loves me! We both decided on the Sprigs and Blooms, and I think we made the perfect choice for our home.
I'm like obsessed with all these photos, you guys. It's about impossible to photograph Madison these days because she's so mobile and so busy so it was so nice to have her all cute, sitting in her new pretty, princess highchair, and be able to take all the photos I wanted of her eating cereal.
I'm going to treasure these photos forever. She's growing too fast so it was awesome to have a moment to capture all her sweet little features while she's still my tiny baby. I love her chubby little hands and her sweet littles toes.
Also, Madison is obsessed with the cushion and loves to look at the flowers while she's eating. It's so adorable I can't even handle it.
She's just so perfect :)
So excited to keep personalizing my home and making things all cute and homey. And I'm just so grateful to Yeah Baby Goods for reaching out to me and hooking up my cute baby with a princess set up. We are both in heaven over here.
