This project is officially all sorts of mixed up ha ha Madison is eleven months now and I feel like I just barely wrote her nine month blog post but better done than perfect right? I'm sure future me will just be glad I kept trying ha ha so here goes! Another little Madison update!
So her ten month photos were by far the hardest to take and she had colic as a newborn and basically just screamed for the first five ish months of her life so I feel like that's saying a lot ha ha
You see, this sweet little baby is an angel until you try to lay her on her back. She hates that now. She fusses and immediately tries to roll over or sit up. So taking these photos was about impossible. And I felt horrible the entire time because even though I convinced her to stay on her back, she cried and acted like I was the meanest mom in the world ha ha so I didn't get very many photos because it just seemed pointless if she was going to look sad in all of them. So not the point of this project. It's supposed to be a happy, fun, memory thing. She turned eleven months on the ninth and I've just been dreading trying to take her pictures like this again. But I'm hoping these photoshoots aren't over already because I already treasure them so much. It's crazy to see how much she changes in just a few short weeks. Growing like a weed I tell ya.
Here's just one photo of her sad little face for honesty ha ha but I did my best to just find photos where she didn't look too sad and tried so hard to make this photoshoot fun for her.
And she was so much happier getting her picture taken once she got to sit up and play with the letter board ha ha
And we had to ditch the bow half way through pictures because she kept pulling on it so some of these pictures she's wearing a bow and some she's not. Might officially be outgrowing bows which breaks my heart. I just want her to be my baby forever.
Well I feel like not a whole lot has changed since the last update, but I think I forgot to mention that Madison is getting crazy good at standing up! She grabs ahold of anything and everything nowadays to pull herself to stand up, coffee table, couches, chairs, a plastic clothing hamper, boxes, a stack of folded towels, etc. I even caught her standing up against the wall the other day and I was like, "How did you do that??"
She's kind of starting to walk too! She'll use objects like our small plastic clothing hamper or boxes from things we've had shipped to the house to help her stand and she just leans on them and pushes them forward and moves her little feet. She doesn't get too far, but it has to be the cutest thing ever to see her little legs moving.
Also, I feel like I should mention that she refuses to walk if we try to hold her hands or arms to help her ha ha she just tries to sit down the entire time.
She is so fast at crawling and loves to speed crawl around the house and take unnecessary turns and go in loops and circles and I find it absolutely hilarious
She's starting to give kisses whenever I ask for one! It's so sweet!!
She smiles all the time now. Her favorite thing is scrunching her face up in a big grin and then waiting for me to make the same face and then she lets out a small laugh and smiles really big again and we just go back and forth like this forever
She fake cries now ha ha and fake laughs too. It's hard to explain but so adorable.
And I had to work so hard for the two little sad smiles I got in pictures ha ha trying to tickle your baby and make silly faces and take centered, not blurry photos is quite challenging.
She makes herself laugh now! Like she was chasing around a piece of paper and kept laughing the entire time like it was the funniest thing! Gah my heart just melts all day
She's getting super ticklish! I feel like we've waited so long to hear her laughs and it's just so fun to hear them so often now
She's getting real cuddly and has little moments where she'll just crawl over and lay her head on my chest or shoulder and then go back to playing. I'm in heaven over here.
She loves to wave! She'll wave all day long whether it's at me or her daddy or her puppy or the mirror or a tree outside or sometimes I don't even know what she's waving at (which creeps me out a bit sometimes not gonna lie). She's even starting to wave at random people in the store, and I just think that's the sweetest thing!
She's constantly reaching for things too like the fan or chandelier or tree branches or anything up above her. She'll just lift her little hand up if I walk past a fan and open and close her little fingers until I help lift her up so she can touch the little cords that dangle. Then she'll get excited and wrap her arms around my neck and bury her face in my neck. Then she goes back to reaching again ha ha
She is starting to dance a little bit, but she gets shy if she knows someone is watching and if I try to record it she instantly freezes ha ha but she'll get excited when she hears music (particularly obnoxious kid music ha ha) and she'll throw her arms up in the air and start to wave her hands around! So freaking cute!
She's currently too busy for me to read her books which breaks my heart a little, but I know that the day will come again where she's begging me to read to her. But she is obsessed with her books and they are probably her favorite toy. I catch her reading and playing with her books and turning the pages and looking at the pictures all the time.
And she loves to play with our curtains and tags as you can tell from these photos ;)
She's been needing her mama lots these days and constantly wants to be in my arms or have me on the floor playing with her which I'm one hundred percent okay with until I need to cook dinner or do something that's not baby friendly and she's upset the entire time and it hurts my heart. Also, my arm and back ache basically all the time ha ha but I will gladly hold her clear up until my arm falls off and then I'll just switch sides ;) Also also, I'm getting pretty good at doing chores like unloading and loading the dishwasher and doing the laundry one handed and I'm pretty proud of myself!
Speaking of laundry, Madison loves to help me with my chores during the day ha ha ha I'll have her help me fold the laundry and she helps by waiting for me to fold something and then immediately unfolds it ;) and I have her "sort" the plastic hangers while I hang clothes up in the closet. And she loves to crawl into the dust pile and sit in it while I'm sweeping. Good times. She's such a good helper ;) ha ha I wouldn't have it any other way though. Freaking love this kid.
She has basically stopped saying "mama" though and that breaks my heart. Her current favorite words to say are, "pa pa" and "da da"
And she has so much hair now! I swear it's getting so thick and curly and pretty all the sudden! Just in time for her birthday :D
This kid is just so spunky and full of life and personality! Everyone just gets such a kick out of her, and she's such a joy to be around.
And she's getting so good at listening to me and it blows my mind every time. Like when I say no, (such as when she tries to play in our dogs water bowl), she'll stop and look at me or move on to playing with something else. And I'm like, "How are you such a good kid??" She's been a little fussy lately and needing lots of extra loves an attention (teething?), but she's seriously such a good kid and I just feel so lucky to have her.
Love you so much baby girl! Please forgive me for these silly photoshoots, but I know someday you'll be glad I took all these pictures ;) You're the best baby ever and make me so proud to be your mama! Thanks for being the light and sunshine and all that is happy and fun and sweet in my life! Love you always!
