Sometimes I can't believe how I haven't really mentioned to anyone that I was printed in a magazine, but then I look at the photo above where my daughter wants me to hold her milk cup, and I'm like, "Ooooh yeah that's why. I got a cute little distracting toddler I'm chasing around all day every day." ha ha ha
But you guys!! I was printed in an actual freaking magazine!!!! Whaaaaat?! Like how is this even real life?? I was lucky enough to be chosen by sweet Lee from @coco.crochet.lee, assistant Editor of Happily Hooked Magazine, as their December interview feature. Coolest Christmas present ever!
(And if you get a second, click on over to check out Lee's Instagram account! She takes the most gorgeous photos!)
Happily Hooked is an online digital magazine (they now sell printed magazines as well!) that contains some of the neatest patterns that are 100% error free with yarns you can find anywhere. They have both a yearly digital subscription and a monthly digital subscription.
If you'd like to get a better look at the magazine, be sure to check out my instagram story highlights where I show off some of the gorgeous patterns in my months feature and so you can get a better feel for how awesome this magazine is. Some of my favorite crochet patterns from the December edition included adorable little baskets, a beautiful chair cover, an adorable amigurumi owl, and a pretty diamond blanket. Click here if you want to peek at their Ravelry account to see what patterns I'm talking about.
There's me and my Eleanor Blanket! So crazy! I'm tearing up over here. Sometimes I feel lost, like I don't know what I'm doing or if what I'm doing is enough or if what I'm doing even matters. Or I feel like I don't have much to show for putting in five years on this little business of mine. Then when I finally sit to take a breather and read the magazine I was featured in, I'm like, "Holy wow, girl! You did it! You're doing awesome!"
I'm so honored to be featured next to Vincent from @knot.bad in the printed version of the magazine (which is the November/December printed issue). I've always been a huge fan of his awesome amigurumi work and have had a secret love for pokemon since I was in fifth grade. Still have my original pokemon cards too. Too much info? ha ha
It looks like at least for now, if you'd like a printed copy of the November/December edition (the magazine I'm in next to Vincent from @knot.bad) it's currently still available even though it's practically March. Might not be available much longer as new issues come out.
Their magazine is absolutely gorgeous by the way. I absolutely love their style and design. Definitely go check out my instagram (@darlingbebrave) story highlights on your phone or tablet so you can take a better peak and how beautiful this magazine truly is.
I'm so honored, so humbled, and so grateful for such an amazing opportunity. Can't thank Happily Hooked Magazine enough for wanting to feature little ol' me.
